Akaba: Creating a Gradient Filled Object

Akaba: New Concept: Creating a Gradient Filled Object
We are going to create a filled object with a gradient fill.  This can be applied over any video scene - I have chosen to place it over a 0:15:00 Black scene (generated from the New button in the Edit Screen).
1.  With the Black scene selected, click on Special and select Akaba-New Concept.
2.  Click on Drawmode (click Ok if it asks you if you wish to delete previous project).
3.  Click on the Left large box in the bottom corner of the Akaba menu. This brings up the Palette  menu.
4.  Clicking on one of the set colors beneath will change the active color to that color, clicking on Change Color enables you to change that pre-set color to a different choice. But since we are creating a gradient fill, click on Bleed.  This produces a gradient from the dark color to the lighter color.
5.  Change the dark color to Blue by clicking on the black (left) color box beneath the Bleed Direction button.  Move the top slider into the blue range and then adjust the color picker to a dark blue (the hue selected is in the large rectangle on the right).  Click Ok. You should now see a gradiated fill from Blue to white.
6.  Now we will add a pattern to the fill… click on Pattern and select from the Products active on your system (you can always use the Casablanca masks that ship with every unit).  Then select one of the different fill patterns by clicking on it. You can also Colorize this pattern if you so choose while in this menu.
When you have the colored pattern you desire, click OK and you should see your pattern in the Palette window.
7.  Clicking 'Ok' once more returns you to the Akaba Drawmode menu.
8.  Click on the large box in the bottom corner of the Akaba menu. This brings up the Palette  menu.

10.  Change the dark color to Blue by clicking on the black (left) color box beneath the Bleed Direction button.  Move the top slider into the blue range and then adjust the color picker to a dark blue (the hue selected is in the large rectangle on the right).
11. Click Ok. You should now see a gradiated fill from Blue to white.

13.    Clicking Ok once more returns you to the Akaba Drawmode menu.
